Many lactobacillus species have been reclassified. This will majorly impact the market because many nutritional and probiotic supplements contain Lactobacilli.

New genetic sequencing methods have led to classifying the current lactobacillus into several new groups. For Biosisto, the strain Lactobacillus plantarum in CRM-LP changes the name in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum.

The new name tells you more about the origin of the strain. For Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is this:
Lacti, planti – milk and plant-derived
Plantarum –  is found in dairy, humans, fermented foods, sourdough

There will be no change in the products. Only the strain’s name will change on the Certificate of Analysis. The naming of the articles will remain CRM-LP.

The source of this strain is Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute. At NCCB 100293, more information can be found about this strain.

Biosisto - Quality in Control

Microbiological laboratories should be able to receive reliable analysis without much overhead. A microbiological analyst must be able to focus on the primary activities, for example analysis of the sample material. Quality control should support the analyst in a logical and simple manner. By using modern information technology, process control and quality assurance are designed smarter and more effective.
