New genetic sequencing methods have led to classifying the current lactobacillus into several new groups. For Biosisto, the strain Lactobacillus plantarum in CRM-LP changes the name in Lactiplantibacillus plantarum.
The new name tells you more about the origin of the strain. For Lactiplantibacillus plantarum is this:
Lacti, planti – milk and plant-derived
Plantarum – is found in dairy, humans, fermented foods, sourdough
There will be no change in the products. Only the strain’s name will change on the Certificate of Analysis. The naming of the articles will remain CRM-LP.
