The CRM-BRETT is designed for internal quality control for the analysis of Brettanomyces bruxellensis in wine using the Cyflow BrettCount kit from Sysmex.

The reference material contains alive Brettanomyces bruxellensis. With this Certified Reference Material, the entire analysis is checked for correctness, such as the work-up, staining, and the final analysis with the flow cytometry.

How to use

Defrost CRM-BRETT for 30 minutes at room temperature and store in refrigerator at 0-4°C till use.
Use 1 ml CRM-BRETT as the sample size or spike 1 ml CRM-BRETT to 1 ml wine* to see the pellet better after centrifugation.
Then follow the instruction of the BrettCount kit.
The steps are also explained step by step in the instruction video of Sysmex.

* Use the wine that has no Brettanomyces bruxellensis or wine whereby Brettanomyces bruxellensis is been killed (for example by heating in a boiling water bath and waiting at least 3 hours before measuring to be sure there is no active RNA present anymore). Perform a control measurement to verify that indeed really no longer Brettanomyces bruxellensis is present.

Biosisto - Quality in Control

Microbiological laboratories should be able to receive reliable analysis without much overhead. A microbiological analyst must be able to focus on the primary activities, for example analysis of the sample material. Quality control should support the analyst in a logical and simple manner. By using modern information technology, process control and quality assurance are designed smarter and more effective.
