Process Control or Internal Quality Control (IQC)
Process control also known as internal quality control or first-line control, is an important tool to monitor the whole analyzing process, day after day. All facets in the analysis are included with this quality check. The process control can be performed using Certified Reference Materials (CRM’s). To monitor your method it is advisable to perform a daily process control. In case of any deviation, you can take immediate action to adjust the working method.
The control chart is a chart on which statistical measurement of CRM’s is recorded. The control chart contains upper and lower control limits. When the analysis process is under control the results of the CRM must be between de upper en lower control limits.
